Become a member of DLP Barbados (Canada) and help create a brighter future for Barbados!
Barbadians residing in Canada may join DLP Barbados (Canada) and through membership in our branch, will be entitled to all the privileges of membership in The Democratic Labour Party.
Any person sixteen years of age and over is eligible for membership provided that he or she :
² Is a Barbadian national or a descendant of a Barbadian National.
² Is not a member or supporter of any other party in Barbados.
² Is not a member or supporter of any group or organization whose objects are prejudicial to and incomparable with those of the Democratic Labour Party.
Any eligible person who is desirous of joining the DLP Barbados (Canada) shall:
² Affirm support for the philosophy, principles and objects of The Democratic Labour Party.....see DLP Philosophy and Principles, Objects page.
² Agree to conform with the General Operating By-Laws/Constitution, rules, programs, policies, standing orders and directives of DLP Barbados (Canada);
and of the Democratic Labour Party.
² Complete and submit a Membership Application Form.
² Be proposed by a member of DLP Barbados (Canada) or a member of The Democratic Labour Party in good standing, such proposal to be made on the
Membership Application Form.
² Pay the annual membership fee of CAD$30.00
"Joining the Democratic Labour Party represents an affirmation of commitment to the ideals which have made this Party great. However outstanding has
been the contribution to national and regional development, there remains much to accomplish for the generations to come. Your membership signals a
readiness to join hands with the large D.L.P family to ensure that whenever the opportunity is offered to us we will respond and take our Country onto the
fast track of further development into the 21st Century." ...........David J.H. Thompson, President in his message in the new members induction souvenir
booklet following the 42nd Annual Conference.

Volunteer
If you are a member and wish to volunteer on our Dinner Committee, Membership Committee, or Fundraising Events Committee please contact us and let us know of your interest. Committee Chairs are responsible for selecting the members of their committees and there may not be a vacancy on the committee in which you are interested at the time your interest is expressed; however we do wish to involve as many members as possible in the planning and execution of our activities.
